REZ 03-26 Champion Tire Truck Parking Amendment
Cornelius
Description
Champion Tire asked to make its truck storage lot permanent and expand it onto an adjacent parcel, consolidating its 35-truck NASCAR racing fleet on one campus. The Planning Board unanimously recommended approval in April.
Impact summary
Trucks keep accessing from Treynorth Drive to Hwy 115, so no new truck traffic on Bailey Road — and the company says consolidating storage cuts overall truck trips. The berm and buffer will screen the lot.
