Praised the town's financial practices and survey-based budget, but questioned whether recruiting 11 new officers in one year is realistic, whether real estate revenue is underestimated, and suggested a 1-cent compromise on the tax increase.

Warned that years of blocked staff pay raises drove the town manager and finance director to Huntersville for higher pay, calling underinvestment in staff poor business practice, and noted rising costs of police vehicles, fire trucks and waste collection.
